Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, Ghana’s former Education Minister, has sharply criticized ex-Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, blaming him for the collapse of the economy and the suffering of millions. In an interview on ADOM TV, Adutwum delivered his words with fiery intensity, portraying Bawumia as the architect of Ghana’s economic disaster.
“Ghanaians are hungry, children are suffering, and businesses are dying,” Adutwum declared. “Dr. Bawumia, you promised stability and growth, but instead you gave us reckless borrowing, corruption, and false hopes. Ghana is broken because of you — and yet you walk around free. That is robbery against the people.”
He accused Bawumia of using fancy economic slogans like “digital economy” and “solid fundamentals” to mask gross mismanagement under the Akufo-Addo government. Adutwum demanded that politicians who brought Ghana to its knees face justice, adding that Bawumia should be the first to answer for the economic collapse.
His remarks have intensified ongoing public anger over inflation, the weakened cedi, and worsening poverty. With frustration mounting, Adutwum insisted that Ghanaians will not allow leaders to escape accountability, warning that the call for justice will only grow louder.
