A major scare has struck Ghana’s political scene as Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, outspoken politician and businessman, was reportedly involved in a serious road accident together with his convoy at Drobo–Baanafour in the Bono Region.
Eyewitnesses say the crash occurred when Agyapong’s convoy was moving at top speed along the stretch, leading to a violent collision that left vehicles badly mangled.
According to reports, three people sustained injuries in the accident and were rushed to the hospital for emergency treatment. Their current conditions are yet to be disclosed.
Videos and pictures circulating online show damaged SUVs and stunned residents gathering at the accident scene, with emergency responders working frantically to control the situation.
As of now, Kennedy Agyapong’s condition remains unclear, but sources close to him confirm he survived the crash. His aides and security officers were among those caught in the accident.
The incident at Drobo–Baanafour has triggered a wave of concern across social media, with supporters flooding timelines with prayers and messages of solidarity.
