The chief of Kokofu-Adwumaim in the Bosomtwe District of Ashanti Region, Nana Agyekum Diawuo II has stressed the need for Christians to renew their faith in Christ so as to enable them to accomplish their heart desire.
The chief observed that a Christian without faith is just like an empty barrel that makes a mighty noise.
Because its inner content is dry and cannot make any meaningful impact in the society.
Nana Diawuo II gave the advise on Friday December 30,2022, at Feyiase when he was addressing congregation during the 2022 end of the year camp meeting organized by the 7th Day Pentecostal Assembly.
The three days power packed and impressive program has the theme: “I Have Loved Thee With An Everlasting Love” quoted from the book of Jer: 31:3.
And it was attended by the 25 branch churches across the country.
The chief expressed his gratitude to God of whose grace Ghanaians have been entering into new the year, 2023.
He commended the Head Pastor of the church, Elder Enock Ofori Jnr for his total firmness for effectively handled the church.
After the administration was transferred to him following the death of his late father, Elder Enock Ofori Snr.
According to the chief, the legacy that the founder of the church left behind have been fulfilled by his son, Enock Ofori Jnr.
Nana Diawuo II attributed the archievements of the church to the commitment, hard work and faith that Elder Enock Ofori Jnr exhibited to maintain the legacy of the late father.
Nana Diawuo II said it is was due to the commitment and faithfulness that the junior pastor had to uplift the image of the church, hence he is urging christians to stay focused and renew their faith in Christ to help them to become victorious in their daily activities.
Nana Agyekum Diawuo II who have since four years ago been active in the church administration registered his disappointment about the low turn out of congratulation in the 2022 camp meeting.
He said in 2021 over one thousand congregation participated in the annual camp meeting.
He stressed that if one critically probes the issue it can tell you that something was missing somewhere apparently referring to the church members who failed to take part in the meeting.
Nana reiterated that despite the fact that some members failed to join the meeting, he considered the occasion as a successful one.
The chief took the opportunity to admonish the congregation to stay focused and carry the cross, since without Christ mankind’s existence is not complete.
As christians, the humble occupant of the prestigious seat of the Kokofu-Adwumaim throne, indicated that followers of Christ need to trust in God and remain intact in their faith.
This is because the good Lord always backs His people to accomplish their tasks no matter how his followers are few.
As the scriptures say in elsewhere, in the accounts of Saint John,
Buttressing his point, Nana Diawuo hinted that Jesus Christ chose many followers to help spread the good tidings , out of the number some discarded him.
Yet with faith that the remaining twelve apostles had in the Savior, they work hard with Christ to accoplish the task in which he was sent to free mankind from bondage.
Therefore if you are you few fear not because God is behind you, Nana encouraged christians.
He also assured that as a chief who believes in Christ he would use his association with the church to promote the growth of the church to glorify God at all times.
On the occasion he charged the congregation to love one another and take stock of their life about what went wrong with their activities in 2022 and correct them.
In another development, the chief described as “fallacy and unacceptable’ the notion created in some quarters that a chief cannot be a Christian.
Reacting to the assertion, Nana Agyekum Diawuo II contented that chieftaincy institution was ordained by God since the creation to help maintain law and order to benefit mankind in the society.
He mentioned some prominent Kings in the Bible like King Solomon, David among others who made positive impact in their days to transform the society.
According to him there is nothing wrong when a chief becomes a born again person or remain resolute to serve the Lord.
