The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Twifo Hemang Lower Denkyira District, Nana Kwaku Abban, together with Mr. Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate have broken ground for the construction of a three-unit, self-contained nurses’ quarters at the Wawase Health Centre.
The ceremony was attended by high profile personalities including Asante Adjei Hapoleon (Presiding Member), Dr Bawa (Health Director), Hon. Patrick Boadu (Majority Leader), Hon. Christopher Ampofo (Representative of Mr. Agyinsam), Joseph Dadzie (District Engineer),
Others are Samuel K. Kwofie (District Internal Auditor), Gifty Ayimwa Yeboah (Senior District Budget Analyst), Christal Appiah Kubi (District Procurement Officer) as well as traditional leaders of the Wawase community, and community members.
In his address, the DCE emphasized the importance of the project, noting that both Mr. Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam and the District Assembly are committed to improving healthcare delivery in the district.
He announced that the project is expected to be completed within two months, assuring the community and its leaders that the work would be completed on schedule.
Hon. Nana Kwaku Abban also took the opportunity to highlight various developmental projects undertaken by the NPP government in the community.
He encouraged the community to continue supporting Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Mr. Lawrence Kwabena Agyinsam in the upcoming general elections to sustain the progress being made.
The chiefs and people of the Wawase community expressed their gratitude to the DCE and Mr. Agyinsam for honoring their commitment to provide adequate staff accommodation for the health center’s nurses.
They also pledged their support to the contractor to ensure the project’s successful completion.
