Ghanaian Youth Have A Bleak Future Due To Economic Mismanagement – Chairman Of MEF.
Chairman for a Kumasi based Muslim Non Governmental Organization dubbed, Muslim Executives Foundation ( MEF) Alhaji Musa Abubakari has observed that the country, and for that matter youth have no brighter future due to the economic mismanagement by the people of the top helm of affairs.
Speaking to the correspondent in an interview, Alhaji Musa Abubakari who also doubles as the Managing Director of Basfam Co.Ltd in Kumasi expressed his disappointment that the youth of the nation are though desired to work and help move the economy forward, their attempts get frustrated by certain government policies.
The chairman particularly mentioned strings of tax imposition on business entities whilst proper attention is not given to ensure business growth in the country.
Instead of encouraging entrepreneurs to sustain in businesses, government allegedly uses tax to collapse business establishments, chairman Abubakari noted.
Adding that the results from such business discouragement compels youth to travel outside to seek for greener pastures.
Alhaji Musa Abubakari alleged further that what is happening in the country today shows clearly that Ghanaians are enemies to the progress of the country and hate someone who can contribute towards the development of the country.
He cited Professor Frimpong Boateng and Mr Dormeglovformer Auditor General among others respectively who were resisted and treated with contempt in their quest to use their talents to shape and correct some ills in the economy.
The MEF chairman also spoke against the negative attitudes of Ghanaians who always prefer foreign goods to the local products and as a result contributes to the collapse of the local industries concluding that a foreigner would not do that mistake to jeopardize his economy.
