The National Service Personnel thievery through ghost names at the National Service Scheme (NSS).
The Npp made Ghanaians to understand that the National Service Personnel were 180,030 as at the close of December 2024.
However after headcount in 2025, it was revealed that they are 98,145, difference of
81, 885.
Now do this simple maths, as the National Service Personnel take home a month Ghc 714.
Therefore Ghc 714 ×81,885 ghost names a month = Ghc 58,465,890 .
Multiply Ghc 58,465 890 ×12 Will give you a staggering figure of Ghc 701,590,680 annually.
