Hearts of Oak are embroiled in a legal dispute with Ezra FM’s sports journalist Wisdom Osei Bonsu, popularly known as ‘Darling Boy Piero’, over allegedly defamatory comments made about the club’s head coach, Didi Dramani.
Piero claimed that coach Dramani received tactical instructions from three “mallams” or spiritualists in the team’s dressing room during the President’s Cup match against Asante Kotoko.
Hearts of Oak strongly denied the claim, describing it as “baseless and defamatory.”
The club has given Darling Boy Piero and Ezra FM a eight days to appear in court after notice.
Hearts of Oak are also demanding damages worth of GHS 200,000,000 to be paid for defamation, a public retraction and apology.
Hearts of Oak’s claims against defendants also include; costs including legal fees and incidentally n injunction placed on the journalist, restraining him from publishing anything relating to the club.
