Journalists urged to be firm and expose the rot in the society

Journalists urged to be firm and expose the rot in the society.

The founder and leader of the Cornerstone Bible Church International located at Kumasi Ayigya in the Ashanti Region, His Eminence Apostle Godbless Boateng has indicated that the development of the country could be released if journalists would come together and expose bribery and corruption that tend to stall the progress of the nation.

The clergy who was speaking to the Correspondent in an interview observed that journalists been recognized as the fourth estate of the realm owes the country a special duty to help use their profession to shape and salvage the country from its decline.

Apostle Godbless Boateng expressed his disappointment that journalists though have the powers to expose the officialdom in terms of corruption, current probes have it that such professionals tend to have been slow and inactive to discharge their mandates.

The man of God alleged that the leaders of the country particularly politicians, chiefs and pastors have been taken the country for a ride and having field day by looting state coffers, because journalists have been failing to expose them.

His Eminence Apostle Godbless Boateng however denied the claim that journalists are quite because of threats from the powers that be, when the officials are exposed.

He noted that journalists also lack unity to carry out their lawful mandates, hence the authorities have been using it as a cover to wreck the country.

He posited that if the men and women in the inky fraternity stand bold and resolve to remain united and continuously expose the rot in the society without fear or favor, their reportage would curb the antisocial vices in the country.

The country is on the verge of collapse as a result of the crime wave in the high offices, therefore I entreat you to wake up and salvage the country for the benefit of all Apostle Godbless Boateng concluded.
