A renowned Kumasi-based road contractor Mr Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife, Dr Esther Okyere Gyebi have through the Kofi Job Foundation released $20,000 to support a five-year-old boy who is suffering from a hole-in-heart condition to be flown to India for treatment.
The patient has been battling the condition for some time, putting his life in danger.
The mother of the child, Felicity Acheampong, appealed to the philanthropic couple for support.
Following her plea, the Foundation linked the family to a doctor in Ghana who conducted all necessary tests and also assisted them to secure passports for the boy and his mother.
Mr Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife Dr Esther Okyere Gyebi released the funds for the treatment on Wednesday, September 24, 2026.
Speaking to the media, the media, the
co-founder of the Foundation, Dr Mrs Esther Okyere Gyebi, said the Foundation decided to take up the full cost of treatment after understanding the family’s situation.
She noted that the Kofi Job Foundation was established solely to help the vulnerable in society.
She disclosed that the child and the mother will be flown from Ghana to India for the surgery whilst the cost involved have been provided .
Funds for the treatment have been paid in full and the Foundation will monitor their progress to ensure that the child is safe.
We urge the family to also protect the child and make him available for the treatment, the co- founder advised.
The mother of the child who took possession of the support amidst, shedding tears thanked Mr Kofi Gyebi Job and his wife for the gesture.
When I first approached them, I never knew this day would come where they would pay the full amount for the treatment.
