MCE assures to extend equal development to the communities within the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality

The Chief Executive of the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality, Nana Raymond Ebbah has expressed his commitment to ensure that all the communities within the Wassa Amenfi East Municipality are equally benefit from the Municipality’s development projects plans without discrimination.

He emphasized that his policy to transform the Municipality cuts across board and is not limited to one area.

He said as part of his policy framework towards the transformation of the communities under his administration he is dedicated to apply transparency to archive that agenda whilst priority would be given to the communities whose problems need urgent attention.

He stressed that as a government official tasked with the responsibilities to run the Municipality’s affairs his duty is to ensure fair distribution of development projects to every community in line with the Local government concept.

The MCE made these statements in an interview specifically to refute the allegations that he has neglected two communities within his territory namely the Wassa Mangoes and Domeabra

These two communities he reiterated, have reportedly been facing with a long standing challenges that link to thier deplorable road conditions and a damaged bridge.

According to Nana Ebbah he came to meet these challenging conditions that had not been attended to for years.

He indicated that, in line with his agenda to transform all the communities within his network, he promptly held a meeting with the chiefs of both Wassa Mangoes and Domeabra.

Following this meeting he said he awarded the already damaged bridge and the road network to a contractor for rehabilitation.

Accompanied by journalists to confirm the progress of these works the MCE expressed his disappointment regarding the community’s decision to resort to media complaints especially at a time where active solutions are being implemented to address their long standing challenges.

Nana Raymond Ebbah appealed for calm and urged the residents to allow peace to prevail to enable him facilitate the ongoing works in the Municipality for the benefit of other communities.

He noted that while development depends on collective responsibilities his doors are widely open for constructive suggestions and contributions that could help elevate the Municipality’s reputation for the benefit of all.
