In a remarkable display of civic responsibility and compassion, Mr. Isaac Anyimah a leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and a dedicated philanthropist has awarded full scholarships to 15 brilliant but needy students within the Bibiani Anwiaso Bekwai Constituency.
The scholarship package which is being funded entirely from Mr. Anyimah’s personal resources aimed at alleviating the financial burden on struggling families to ensure that deserving children stay in school to pursue their dreams.
A Decade of Selfless Service:
Speaking in an exclusive interview with the correspondent, Mr. Anyima who is currently vying for the position of Deputy Constituency Chairman for the NDC in Bibiani Anwiaso Bekwai, revealed that his commitment to the less privileged is not a recent development.
For the past ten years, I have made it my life’s mission to support not only the needy students but also widows and vulnerable citizens within our constituency to make life more bearable for them,
Mr. Anyimah stated.
He emphasized that his decision to join in the race for the Deputy Chairmanship is driven by his desire to expand his philanthropic reach.
Winning this position will grant me the necessary political platform to lobby for greater resources and support systems to uplift the marginalized people in our constituency, he added.
Beyond Scholarships – A Holistic Approach to Education:
Mr. Anyimah’s commitment to education goes beyond tuition fees.
Since January this year, he has donated countless of educational materials which includes uniforms, textbooks and stationery, to various basic schools across the constituency.
Reflecting on the hardships faced by many families in the area he noted, Many of our citizens are deprived and reaching out for help that often never comes.
It is my responsibility as an elderly citizen to step in where I can offer assistance.
A Call to Action:
Addressing the public, the aspirant indicated that he harbors no regrets for his charitable acts, citing his firm faith in divine providence.
God blesses a cheerful giver and I believe that by helping others, the gates of heaven open for one’s own breakthroughs, he remarked.
Mr. Anyimah is now calling on the well meaning Ghanaians, non governmental organizations (NGOs) and government institutions to adopt a culture of philanthropy.
He urged stakeholders to support the needy and treat it as a fundamental social responsibility that glorifies God and builds a stronger nation.
