The headquarters of the New Jerusalem Chapel at Sokoban Ampayoo in Kumasi was filled to capacity on Sunday, May 24, 2026, as congregants gathered in a spirit of worship and celebration to witness the ordination of Mrs. Mary Sarfo as a Prophetess.

The atmosphere was charged with praises and songs as attendees from all walks of life came together to glorify God for the historic event.

 

 

The ceremony which was presided over by the Founder and Leader of the New Jerusalem Chapel Bishop Dr. Dr. John Yaw Adu drew attention of high profile audience including religious leaders, members of the business community, politicians and well wishers from across the country.

Prophetess Mary Sarfo, previously a dedicated member of the church’s Pokuasi branch in Accra is widely recognized as a seasoned prayer warrior and a vessel for spiritual healing.

Her powerful deliverance ministry earned her the trust of the church’s leadership.

Following her official ordination, Bishop Dr. Dr. John Yaw Adu has authorized her to oversee the full functions of the new branch of the New Jerusalem Chapel at East Legon in Accra.

In his sermon anchored in deep scriptural insights, Bishop Dr. John Yaw Adu congratulated the new Prophetess of her new responsibilities and emphasized that the mantle of spiritual leadership requires commitment, patience. and a spirit of volunteerism.

He warned the newly ordained Prophetess to remain resolute and vigilant against the temptations of the devil who seeks to distract and destroy those called to the vineyard off Christ..

In her address to the congregation, Prophetess Mary Sarfo expressed her profound gratitude to Bishop Dr. Dr. John Yaw Adu for the honor bestowed upon her.

She pledged her unwavering dedication to the growth of the ministry and the salvation of souls.

Reflecting on her journey, the new Prophetess shared that her elevation was not by chance but the fulfillment of a divine prophecy.

“A leading prophetess prophesied during my infancy that I would grow up to become a prominent prophetess in the country,” she revealed.

My mother was a woman who also served many propheteses, so becoming a prophetess is a divine calling that has finally come to pass, the woman of God and asserted.

Prophetess Mrs Mary Sarfo extended special thanks to her church family, friends, and particularly her husban Nana Sarfo of whose counsel and unwavering suppor and financial backing have been instrumental to reach the position of a Prophetess in a leading religious
Ministry in Ghann.

The occasion was ended with a powerful session of intercessory prayers led by Bishop Dr. John Yaw Adu who prayed for President John Dramani Mahama, Ministers of state, traditional authorities and the entire country for God’s guidance, protection, peace,,unity and development of the country.
