News Update: Our political leaders have short memories and lack foresight – Sav Ghana Movement.
Save Ghana Movement has described Ghana’s political leaders as people with short memory on their own promises to the citizens.
The Movement alleged that governments and flag bearers makes lofty promises about development to Ghanaians during election campaigns times, but turns out to forget their promises or lacks the foresight to implement those promises said during their campaigns.
Save Ghana movement National Convener Mr Andzie Ansah said tenure of previous and current governments had revealed that they were deliberate in making promises that they did not intend to keep except to win electoral fortunes and then dump the people.

The Save Ghana movement is asking Do Ghana’s leaders lack vision or are they cowards? This question arises due to a series of past and ongoing decisions that have been made. It is conceivable that external influences or a limited foresight may be affecting them. The inability to fulfil promises made raises the question of what hinders them or causes them to forget their commitments once in power.
How do they justify the abundance of resources bestowed upon us while we continue to endure unnecessary hardships? Since the adoption of democracy in 1992, there seems to be no tangible change or improvement in the country, both on an individual and collective level.
The Save Ghana movement is posing this question; we must also reflect on ourselves as citizens. Do we lack understanding or courage? Are we devoid of vision or ignorant about nation-building? It is disheartening to witness how our leaders struggle to propel the country forward, while we, as a people, suffer without taking any action. This is the reason why this question extends to the media, religious bodies, and all other components that constitute our nation.
Once again, we the Save Ghana movement are contemplating whether the lack of vision lies with both us and our leaders, or if it is a deficiency in courage that plagues us all.
