Npp Northern Communications Caucus In Ashanti Tips Prof. Opoku Onyina As Bawumia’s Running Mate.
The Ashanti Regional Northern Communications Caucus led by their Chairman, Alhaji Gawo have made a passionate appeal to the Vice President Dr. Alhaji Mahmoud Bawumia and party executives who are responsible for the selection of the running mate to consider the former chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Professor Opoku Onyina to become Dr Bawumia’s running mate.
Speaking to the Correspondent in an interview, chairman Gawo indicated that at a special prayers at the Wenchi Central Mosque on Friday March 15,2024 to present a fasting materials, the entire communicators jointly came to the conclusion that they have Apostle Onyina in mind to become the running mate of Dr Bawumia.
According to Alhaji Gawo, the decision taken by the Communicators stem from the fact that Apostle Professor Opoku Onyina is a matured man of God, seen as a transparent, humble, respectful, God fearing and blameless and one who values human rights principles.
Chairman Alhaji Gawo said Apostle Professor Opoku Onyina’s qualities match with that of the Vice President Dr Bawumia, hence the group considered it appropriate for his (Apostle Professor Opoku Onyina’s) selection as the running mate of Dr Bawumia.
“We strongly believe that our humble submission would be considered”, chairman Gawo observed.
