Our attention has been drawn by the management of Global Biogas Concept about the above article which we published on the portal recently.
In paragraph 8 of the article we erroneously stated that the Company, would besides focusing attention on the bio digester project, it will also build a double chamber incenerators that would support the bio digester filtering system to sustain the longer life span of the project.
We technically made the mistake for using the word “filter”.
The correct statement must have read thus – Apart from the bio digester project, the Engineers of Global Biogas Concept will also build a double chamber incenerators that would help burn toilet tissues and papers to enhance the sanitation system of the project.
The Assemblyman for Sawaba Adenyaase Electoral Area in the Asokore Mampong Municipality in the Ashanti Region, Hon. Samuel Kolebil Duabuuri is embarking on an ultra modern toilet facilities at the cost of Ghc 800,000 (about ¢ 8 billion old currency) for the residents within his electoral area and beyond.
The 24 seater ultra modern toilet project which will go along with four (4) bathroom facilities is solely funded by the Assemblyman who also doubles as a businessman.
Speaking to journalists at the project site on Wednesday February 15,2023, Hon Duabuuri said the gesture forms part of fulfilling his promises to the residents within the Electoral Area.
He said when he was contesting for the District Assemblies elections, he promised to construct an ultra modern Bio digester toilet facilities for them when they rally behind him to win the elections to become the Assemblyman for the area.
He insisted that whilst the prayers of the people had supported him to occupy the post, he finds it appropriate to fulfill his promise to the people.
According to him, he would use six months to complete the project and hand it over to the residents for use.
Hon Duabuuri told journalists that another factor that prompted him to prioritize the project was to create jobs for the youth and also discourage open defecation in the electoral area, since in his view, cleanliness is next to godliness.
Contributing to the news, Mr Eugene Kobina Acquah Engineer of the Global Biogas Concept of whose Company is the Engineers for the project commended the Assemblyman for the initiative.
He said as professionals who are managing the facility, they are not focusing attention on the bio digester system alone but also they will ensure that a double chamber incenerators are built to support the bio digester filtering system to sustain the project for many years
The former Assemblyman for the area, Hon Fuseini Nasamu expressed his readiness to support Hon Samuel Kolebil Duabuuri to ensure that the project is completed and handed over to the people
The project is very laudable and l think that Hon Duabuuri deserves commendation Fuseini concluded.
