THEME: “SIN IS ATTRACTIVE BUT IT KILLS.”
GENESIS 3:6, “So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.”
Today’s passage talks about the attractiveness of sin. However, it is important to note that sin kills. Sin denies us of cordial relationship with God.
Sin opens up avenues for Satans attack.
Eventually sin denies us of heaven.
Therefore change your attitude to sin. The joy and satisfaction that sin gives is momentarily. But the consequences are eternal.
Sin is like a bait. Outside it does not look harmful. It looks attractive and satisfying, but within it is poison. It kills so watch it.
Let me ask you. Why is sin so attractive to you?
I am telling you, sin will take you farther than you even thought you would go. It will keep you there longer than you ever intended to stay. And it will cost more than you expected to pay.
Are you sure you have genuine salvation? Why then do you love sin like that?
If genuine salvation comes into your life, there is no way you are going to live in willful sin.
I put it to you that you cannot live in Christ and be indifferent to the sin in your life.
I admonish you to stay away from any sin. God loves you and he wants you to live with victory over sin so you can possess his promises for your life today.
Please don’t procrastinate renouncing and denouncing all forms of sin in your life. It will be for your own good.
Pray and break the power of attractiveness to sin in your life.
Pray for the downtrodden.
Pray against mining in our rivers.
