Responsible father represents the image of God on earth – says clergy.
The Assemblies of God District pastor for the Ejisu Circuit in the Ashanti Region, Servant Simmons Narh has disclosed that a responsible father is a person who represents God and accordingly uses his wisdom to rule his household as a head of the family.
Preaching a sermon at Aben Fm in Kumasi to mark the “father’s day”the clergy observed that the existence of man did not happen just to exist, eat and drink alone, but rather to have dominion and control over the universe to take good care of the creations.
He said it was against this background that God created woman to become the helper of man, who controls the creatures of the land.
Therefore as God created man in His image to administer the land, it is the sole responsibility for man to show leadership qualities, unity , love and promote peace at all times in the home.
It is also forbidden for a man as a family head to engage in violence attitudes since such conduct contravenes procreation laws.
The man of God noted that women are just helpers and it is wrong for a man to push all the households responsibilities on women.
The upkeep of children, wives, promotion of peace and stability in addition to unity must be the duties of man who by a Divine order is the family head.
The clergy explained that any man who goes wayward from what God has said deserves punishment and cannot count himself among the responsible fathers the world celebrates them.
He therefore urged men to remain faithful and committed to keep their homes in order to fulfill what God has said.
The man of God also advised women to refrain from the pollution of their children’s mindsets against their fathers since that kind of the pollution have become a contributory factor which leads many fathers to disown their children.
