Scrap Christian Council Of Ghana For Failing To Discharge Its Mandate – Pastor Demands

Scrap Christian Council Of Ghana For Failing To Discharge Its Mandate – Pastor Demands.

After watching critically the activities of certain men and women of God in the country, it seems there is no regulatory body which checks the bad conduct of such preachers, and the results would be that the country would in the future produce crooks, evil doers and irresponsible citizens who would jeopardize the fortunes of the country, a Kumasi based renowned pastor has disclosed.

According to the founder and leader of the Mo Mary Fellowship in Kumasi, Rev David Armstrong he sounds critical about the functions of the Christian Council Of Ghana, because the Council tends to be toothless, having no control to bring the offending religious leaders to book.

Speaking to our correspondent in an interview, Rev David Armstrong disclosed that many pastors have in the recent past, taken over the social media platforms using strange tactics to pollute the word of God.

Some of these pastors he noted, teaches how make money through some rituals in the scriptures, curses, infighting between themselves in the public, application for grabbing men and women and among others fake means for one to prosper in life.

The of man of God noted that many actions of some pastors on the social media platforms are disgraceful to the priesthood and have negative impact in the society.

Officials of the Christian Council Of Ghana are aware and and watch such ungodly acts from alleged false prophets on both screens and social media platforms, they refuse to react.

Rev David Armstrong pointed out that it is against this background that he wanted to know the real responsibilities of the Council, because in his opinion, pastors serve as special representatives of God whose duties are among others, to preach the true word of God, speak the mind of God and transform the society.

I strongly believes that members of the Council have failed in their mandate to sanitize the priesthood and l advise them to resign or the Council itself be scraped.

False doctrines, ill- conceived preachings, fake prophecies and predictions and outright lies in the name of God can in no doubt, jeopardize the future of the country, the clergy hinted

Rev David Armstrong further took the opportunity to appeal to the President of the land, Nana Akuffo Addo to come out with a more disciplined regulatory body that can effectively check the rot in the religious bodies to ensure that sanity and transparency prevail in the priesthood and for that matter the country in general.
