In a recent sermon delivered at Christ Mission Miracle Church located in Accra Dome Kwabenya, Very Rev. Anthony Kwarteng made headlines with a bold proclamation regarding the political landscape of Ghana.
During a worship session on Sunday, August 17th 2024, he stated that he received a prophetic message from God, indicating that no Muslim personality would be able to ascend to the presidency of Ghana.
Rev. Kwarteng’s prophecy is rooted in a vivid vision he claimed to have experienced, where he saw the late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first president, seated at the presidential throne adorned with a large, shining cross.
Accompanying Dr. Nkrumah were two shiny angels, who, according to Kwarteng, explained the divine rationale behind the prohibition of Muslim leaders from occupying the highest political office in the nation.
He stated that this restriction would remain in place until a “special divine direction” is given.
Ghana is among the most religiously diverse countries in West Africa, home to significant Christian and Muslim populations.
According to the revered minister of God, per his prophecy Ghana is a special country under God’s heart just like Israel.
It is also a sole country established by God where Christians and Muslims can live in a peaceful atmosphere as brothers and sisters.
Rev Anthony Kwarteng related that just as he was reflecting on his Devine prophecy the angels told him that during the enthronement of the late Dr Kwame Nkrumah, God directed him to adhere to an unnamed directions that pointed out to the fact that no Muslim in Ghana can ascend onto the prestigious throne of the country until a special divine direction has been made.
The clergy said in a moment of time he was carried away by the two Angels to a certain part of the Brong Ahafo region where a stream was showned to him.
He added that the stream was a divine place where divine directions could be made to reverse the moslems prophecy to enable them (Moslems) to become presidents of Ghana in the future.
Very Rev Anthony Kwarteng indicated that to his amazement while he was listening to the instructions of the angels another angel appeared on the scene with H/E John Dramani Mahama who dished his (Mahama) hands unto his ( Rev Kwarteng ) pocket and the angel said unto him, ” my development chief (nkosuohene) this is the man referring to John Dramani Mahama.
Paying rapt attention about what the angel will tell him next, all what l realized was my awakening from my sleep.
Commenting on the prophecy he said what it was revealed to him was true, adding that he was not trying to use the sacred word of God to do politics.
I also don’t hates the Muslims but I am duty-bound to obey the instructions of God and speak the truth as it is.
In an additional interview, supporters of Rev. Kwarteng, argue that the man God’s is clearly true insisting that prophetic words are a way in which God communicates His divine will to humanity.
They believe that Kwarteng’s vision serves as a warning and a call to discernment for the nation’s leadership.
For them, the message is one of fidelity to spiritual values and the importance of adhering to perceived divine guidance in matters of governance.
But as this conversation unfolds, it may serve as a pivotal moment for Ghanaians to reflect on the values of coexistence, unity, and mutual respect that have long underpinned the nation’s democratic ideals.
The echoes of Rev. Kwarteng’s prophecy may linger, but the response of the citizenry will ultimately shape the future of Ghana’s political landscape.
