The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has reiterated its unwavering commitment to retrie all stolen state funds under President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda policy.
This assurance comes from Mr. Carlos Musah Chairman of the Kumasi Kejetia Mosque branch of the NDC who has called on Ghanaians to exercise patience as government intensifies efforts to recover embezzled resources.
Speaking to the correspondent in response to public concerns over the perceived slow pace of fund retrieval, Chairman Musah emphasized that the Ndc led Mahama’s administration is resolute in its determination to hold corrupt officials accountable.
Musah indicated that uderJohn Dramani Mahama’s government he is ready to deal with any public official who has embezzled state funds without fear or favour.
Acknowledging the public outcry, Mr. Musah stressed that while eagerness for justice is palpable due process must be followed.
He cautioned against hasty judgments stating that Ghanaians need to exercise restraint since the law cannot just convict suspects until full investigations into allegations levelled against suspects are completed and if suspects are found guilty be punished.
He recalled that President Mahama during his electoral campaign in 2024 pledged to recover all the stolen funds from the government coffers by the corrupt publc officials.
Musah indicated that the promise serves as an integral part to complement the Reset Ghana Policy.
He expressed confidence that the ongoing initiatives of the Operation Retrieve All Stolen Funds has also come at the right time to beef up with the functions of the Judicisry to enhance the recovery of the stolen funds.
Chairman Musah revealed that President John Dramani Mahama would soon commission Tribunal courts towards the recovery of stolen government properties .
These specialized courts, he explained would be instrumental in handling numerous cases to ensure timely trials and quick actions to be taken against corrupt officials.
Chairman Musah on this note called for collective patience, urging citizens to look forward at President John Mahama who is anxious to reset the country by discouraging all kinds of malpractices in officialdom to set the country free from its economic challenges.
The Reset Agenda is thus presented not just as a policy to recover stolen funds but also a comprehensive strategy to purify officialdom and lay a stronger foundation for Ghana’s economic prosperity.
