A prominent figure within the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Banda Constituency Mr.
Abronkwa Anto Sarmorbdua, affectionately known as ABK, has officially declared his intention to contest the parliamentary seat in the 2028 general elections.
Driven by a desire to usher in a new era of development and improved the living standards for the constituents, ABK aims at unseating the incumbent Member of Parliament Hon. Ahmed of the National Democratic Party (Ndc) camp.
In an interview with the correspondent, ABK whose personal motto is Unity, Peace and Love indicated his deep concern over the constituency’s prolonged period in opposition and the perceived lack of progress.
The constituency has remained in opposition for quite a long time without seeing any improvement for the citizens ABK stated and explained that this stagnation is the primary cause for his decision to step forward and champion the welfare of the people.
As a citizen from Banda Drobo in the Banda Constituency ABK expressed confidence that his presence will come as a surprise to the incumbent MP.
Hon. Ahmed would be shocked to hear of my presence in the constituency as the one who will contest him in the 2028 elections, he asserted.
ABK further emphasized his belief that his considerable political experience and popularity within the constituency position him as a formidable contender who is capable to secure the seat in the 2028 elections.
Looking ahead to a potential parliamentary tenure the incoming parliamentary candidate outlined a clear vision that focused on the key priorities for the Banda Constituency.
He said Jobs for the youth, the welfare of the aged, security and empowerment to the people toward poverty alleviation would be his priority.
He extended an early appeal to all the citizens including Assembly members and members of the opposition parties to rally behind him and support his aspiration to bring about the desired transformation when the time comes.
As the world celebrates the festive Christmas Yuletide ABK also took the opportunity to extend his warmest greetings to the entire citizenry of Banda.
He wished them God’s guidance and a happy New Year while also seeks the blessings of God upon the chiefs and opinion leaders within the constituency.
He expressed hope that these esteemed figures would lend him their support in his quest to win the seat when the electoral moment arrives.
