Dr. Ransford Agyemman the Analyst has issued a stark warning by stating that the rampant alleged corruption and official mismanagement are systematically undermining the nation’s development and could plunge the country into lawlessness if decisive action is not taken.

Dr. Agyemman’s assessment comes in the wake of recent cocoa price reductions announced by the government a development that has left the analyst deeply concerned and questioning the priorities within state institutions.

He expressed shock at the announcement particularly when juxtaposed with what he described as egregious mismanagement of public funds.

The economic development of the country tends to be in a shaky state due to corruptions in high offices amidst mismanagement of state resources, Dr.Agyemman stated

If quick measures are not put in place to reverse this canker the impact will be dire and cause the country where lawlessness would increase to disrupt the peaceful coexistence of the citizenry.

Dr Agyenan particularly pointed out to the criticism directed at the Ghana Cocoa Board (Cocobod).

He questioned the board’s decision of making a policy that seem to disregard the welfare of the very farmers who are the backbone of the cocoa industry.

Cocobod finds it prudent to spend several billions of cedis to maintain the residence of the Chief Executive Officer’s bungalow and buying expensive official cars whilst the farmers who are the sources of that income are left to suffer, he lamented.

The Analyst firmly believes that the recent reductions in cocoa prices are a direct consequence of this deeply mismanagement and corruption.

The analyst painted a grim picture of the broader systemic issues, asserting that corruption has permeated almost every sector of Ghanaian society including the political landscape.

All the sectors including the political terrain are rotted to such an extent that corruption is gradually finding its way into the judiciary, he observed.

In the light of this alarming situation, Dr. Agyemm made a direct call to action for President John Dramani Mahama.

He urged the President to declare an economic revolution to flush out the bad nuts from offices.

This he suggested, should involve the empowering of National Audit Team and the Security Agencies
to embark on a vigorous exercise to tackle corruption head on.

Ultimately to reverse the canker and bring relief to Ghanaians before the country sinks into oblivion.

Dr. Agyemman emphasized the urgency and potentially catastrophic future Ghana could face if these issues are not addressed immediately.

The Analyst’s pronouncements serve as a wake up call, urging the nation’s leaders to confront the twin evils of corruption and mismanagement before they irrevocably damage Ghana’s progress and stability.
