A shocking road accident has unfolded at the bustling Santasi Ahodwo road roundabout in Kumasi on Friday, April 18th leaving a trail of destruction and three individual including a pastor with serious injuries.
The incident saw three private cars that have collided with a heavy duty articulator truck veering off the road and obliterated over twenty vehicles displayed for sale in a nearby garage.
Eyewitnesses described the scene as disturbing and chaotic as they were not expecting that type of sordid spectacle on the fateful day.
The initial collision reportedly occurred when a private car traveling from the Patase direction, while attempting to navigate the roundabout collided with another vehicle approaching from the Kajetia road.
In a confounding turn of events, a third private car which was also entering the roundabout from the Kajetia road became involved in the ensuing crash.
The momentum of these initial impacts propelled one of the vehicles to hit the parked articulator truck which the driver was then on the steer.
This collision caused the truck driver to lose control and in the process swerved violently off the road and directly into the premises of a car sales compound.
The driver of the articulator truck however remained. unnhurt.
Reports indicated that the same cannot be said for the drivers of the three private cars.
All the three sustained injuries and were rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for medical attention.
According to reports from the hospital medical professionals are working around the clock to save the lives of the injured victims.
Among those receiving treatment is a pastor who despite his condition was able to identify himself. Further details about his identity and the extent of his injuries remain unconfirmed as at the time of filling this report, whilst. police presence have. been at the accident scene for investigations.
