In a strategic move to revitalize the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the North East Region, Mr. Yentik Gariba, a prominent aspirant for the Regional Deputy Secretary position has vowed to run an open and transparent administration if elected.
Central to his campaign is a commitment to reconciliation and the welfare of party members.
Speaking to the correspondent in an in an exclusive interview, Mr. Gariba emphasized that his primary goal is to bring all the aggrieved party supporters back into the fold to ensure that every member can contribute their quota towards a resounding victory in the 2028 general elections.
A Vision for Inclusive Leadership:
Mr. Gariba stated that his quest for the Deputy Secretary role is rooted in a desire to implement policies that can prioritize the welfare of members and the overall development of the party.
He believes that the strength of the NDC lies in its grassroots and as such, he intends to operate an opendoor administration where he would be ready to to listen, respond and solve members problems.
A good leader is one who has listening ears and is prepared to solve the problems of his followers at all times, Gariba remarked.
He is also a person who has the knack to organize, unite, promote peace and remains committed to the aspirations of the party.
Addressing the Leadership Crisis:
Expressing deep concern over the current state of the party in the region, the aspirant highlighted a leadership crisis and a sense of neglect that has led to apathy among many supporters.
He noted that many active members have become dormant due to feeling undervalued.
To address this issue Mr. Gariba indicated that his emergence in the race is a direct response to these challenges.
Mr Gariba has already begun embarking on conflict resolution exercises aimed at ironing out internal differences and uniting the aggrieved members for a common cause.
A Proven Track Record:
Mr. Gariba is not astranger to the inner workings of the NDC.
Having served the party in various capacities with an excellent track record from 2018 through 2020 and up to the present, he believes that he possesses the necessary experience to steer the regional secretariat of the party towards success.
A Call to Action:
As the internal elections approach, Mr. Gariba advised the aggrieved members not to lose hope, assuring them that his leadership would open a new chapter in the North East NDC.
He promised a system where every recognized member would be given a role to contribute towards the resounding victory of the Ndc in the 2028 general elections.
