Confusions in the New Patriotic Party point out to the party’s defeat in the 2023 elections – says Npp stalwart.
A staunch supporter of the Kwabre East Constituency of the New Patriotic Party, Mr Alex Ababio has observed that unless the unexpected happens, the defeat of the party in the 2024 elections cannot be ruled out.
Speaking to the correspondent in an interview, Ababio expressed regret about the current unfolding drama in the party and pointed out that if care is not taken to patch up things the Npp would be defeated in the next presidential and parliamentary elections.
The party guru touched down on particularly the presidential hopeful race in the party which have been engulfed with lots of question marks
He said despite being a member of the party, he is duty bound to speak the truth no matter how he would be criticized by other party faithful.
Currently the party is divided and those who are supposed to speak the truth have kept silent.
Acts of factionalism, pride, alleged bribery, tribalism and outright lies tend to be the stock in trade of the present Npp, yet the executives close their eyes and harp on the “breaking the 8” concept as if the country belongs to the Npp.
Ababio noted that the breaking the 8 is impossible if the dirty politics in the party is not halted, and therefore appealed to the top guns of the party to make amendments before the party goes into opposition in the 2024 elections
