Bono Region-Sunyani
Some foodstuff prices have decreased, others increased in the Sunyani market.
A random survey conducted at the Sunyani market in the Bono region with regards to the prices of food items indicates that some are decreased whilst others are increased.
At “Masommasom” market and “Nana Bosoma Market places some traders blamed the situation on the cost of transportation for going in and coming out.
At “Mosommasom market” some bunch of plantain have been decreased to 10ghc,15ghc and 10ghc respectively which was formerly sold at 50ghc and seven plugs of plantain is now u5gh which was previously sold at 15ghc.
A crate of egg is now selling at 40ghc and 45ghc which the initial price was 18ghc and above at some places depending on the size of the egg. And it is three for 5ghc also one for 2ghc.
One can get one big cabbage for 7gh, medium for 5gh and small for 3 to 4ghc, depending on the size.
The previous big one was sold at 10ghc.
The negro perper, xylopia aethiopica, “I mean the most common herbs in Ghana” whintia
mini bucket is now sold 90gh and 100ghc which you can get the small ones 1ghc and 2ghc.
