The founder of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Madam Akua Donkor, has disclosed why she fell out with former President John Dramani Mahama.
The female politician and former assemblywoman admitted she had a solid relationship with the former President Mahama but had to withdraw from him after what she suffered at his hands.
The straw that broke the camel’s back was her officer being burned by suspected NDC thugs.
According to her, after the office was burned down, former President Mahama called her and claimed that it was then-candidate Akuf-Addo who ordered the fire.
She told our correspondent that she began attacking President Akufo-Addo at every opportunity until she realised it wasn’t him who was destroying her.
Madam Donkor stated that she became enraged and wondered why Mr. Mahama would subject her to such a heinous exercise.
She also alleged that former President Mahama was the one who had her disqualified from contesting the 2016 presidential election.
She claimed her free port policy, the free education policy, and other pro-poor policies scared Mr. Mahama, and so he used his power to prevent her from contesting.
Madam Akua Donkor expressed her disappointment because the two of them had a strong relationship.
She praised Akufo-Addo for being a man of integrity who assisted the country in holding free, fair, and transparent elections.
She went on to say that she was treated inhumanely when she was invited to Senchi.
Madam Donkor stated that she was locked up in a room when the event began in Senchi.
