Manhyia Palace Orders ‘Sexy’ Pastor To Retract False Allegations Levelled Against Rival On Airwaves or Be Prepared To Spill The Bean.
The Acting President of the Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assembly in Kumasi Mr Macaiah Akwasi Addai is in big trouble amidst shame following his alleged wicked intensions to soil the hard won reputation of the Kumasi Sreso branch Head pastor of the Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assembly, Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr and his family members at Mpasatia in the Ashanti Region.
Macaiah Akwasi Addai who claims to be a polygamist is reported to have published a defamatory statement on the platform of a Kumasi-based privately owned radio station Sompa Fm in somewhere last year (2023) that sought to disrepute the image of Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr and his entire family members at Mpasatia.
According to Sompa Fm’s reports in last year which was masterminded by Pastor Macaiah Akwasi Addai, Addai alleged that Elder Ofori Jnr and her late mother allegedly collaborated and poisoned to death his (Macaiah Akwasi Addai’s) uncle late Elder Enoch Ofori Snr. who was the President, Founder and Leader of the Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assembly.
Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr’s father is the late Elder Enoch Ofori Snr whose late wife is Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr’s mother, but Akwasi Addai in his false radio reports insisted that it was Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr and her late mother who collaborated to kill the late Founder and Leader of the Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assembly.
The sad news it was learnt, never gone down well with Enoch Ofori Jnr who referred to the head of his Asona family of Mpasatia, Opanin Osei Kwadwo who also in turn summoned the man of God at the Manhyia Palace to justify his allegations.
On Tuesday January 30 th 2024 when the case was called at the Manhyia Palace, the 7- member panelists chaired by Kumasi Kaasehene found Macaiah Akwasi Addai guilty.
This was when Addai had made a conflictual defense stating that he only used the word suspicious poising of his late uncle, but was not actually positive of the allegations.
Questions:
Panel Members: Egya Addai you said suspicious poisoning of your late uncle, did you took step to check or demanded autopsy report to justify your suspicion?
Macaiah Akwasi Addai.
No.
Panel Members.
Why
Macaiah Akwasi Addai
My assertion at the Sompa radio was only based on suspicion.
Panel Members.
Don’t you know that issues that broader on death are serious and cannot be taken for granted?
Macaiah Akwasi Addai.
Nananom I know, but I just suspected the death of my late Uncle to be poisoning.
Panel Members
As a pastor who based your principles on truth, why do you failed to base your actions on facts before going to air, and suppose Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr and his family members keep quiet and move about, what definition would people use to describe them in the society?.
Do you know your action is very dangerous based on your own words?.
Macaiah Akwasi Addai
Nananom, with due respect l have done a big mistake and l am ready to render my apologies to the plaintiffs in this case. I am guilty Naananom, forgive me my sins.
Akwasi Addai who was obviously shaking like a wet dog continuously pleaded for forgiveness of sin but the 7- member panelists in their wisdom accepted Macaiah Akwasi Addai’s consistent pleas and cautioned him not repeat that mistake in the future.
He was then directed to retract his defamatory statement for three consecutive times at the same medium been Sompa Fm and present the audios before the panelists to justify that he had complied with the directives.
According to the panelists failure on the side of Akwasi Addai to comply with the directives would compelled the members to deal with him drastically without favor.
In a brief interview with Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr he thanked the panelists for showing justice in the case towards the restoration of his good name.
He said as a pastor it is his duty to forgive those who may be offended him to fulfill the scriptures, therefore he has no bone of contention to pick with Macaiah Akwasi Addai once he ( Macaiah Akwasi Addai) has confessed his guilt through the hard work from the authorities of Manhyia Palace.
Opanin Osei Kwadwo been the Ebusuapanin said he was relieved by the verdict of the panelists and hoped that Akwasi Addai would use his ordeal at the palace as a lesson to control his mouth on the issues that he has no facts to justify himself.
Readers can recalled that the same Macaiah Akwasi Addai made headlines on the social media platforms and some media houses in last year 2023, when he appeared before Manhyia Palace on charges of snatching his church member’s wife.
At Manhyia Palace in 2023 the 7 member panelists found Pastor Macaiah Akwasi Addai who already have three wives guilty. He was convicted to the offence and made to pay GHC 25,000 as a compensation to the man of whose wife Macaiah Akwasi Addai snatched.
Apart from founding him guilty also by a Supreme Court of Ghana in 2023 and made to pay GHC 5000 fine over church litigation with the same Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr and his group of the Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assembly, Akwasi Addai is further been charged with contempt in this year 2024.
According to the Solicitors of Elder Enoch Ofori Jnr and his group, Yaanom Chambers headed by Lawyer Charles Agbenu, Macaiah Akwasi Addai who allegedly promotes polygamy had falsely organized a church election and declared himself as a President of the Association of 7th Day Pentecostal Assembly to the contrary to the Supreme and Appeal courts rulings on the criteria that the factions in the church litigations would apply to elect a substantial president of the church.
