President must give assent to the anti-LGBTQ+ bill to make it realistic – Anti LGBTQ Activist.
The Country Director of Awesome Bible College who doubles as the Head Pastor of Souls’ Pasture Church in Achease in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti region has been a great campaigner against the LGBTQ community in the country.
Rev. Emmanuel Boakye has heaped praises on members of parliament for the passage of the Anti LGBTQ+ Bill which spells out a detailed penalty to people who engage themselves in such ungodly practice within the country.
Speaking to Opera News correspondent King Amoah in Kumasi in an exclusive interview, he expressed appreciation to the Speaker of Parliament, Sam George, and other parliamentarians who stood against the practices of LGBTQ and aided the passage of the Bill.
Raising doubts on whether the President who is a human rights lawyer will assent to the bill or not, he charged him to do the needful by approving the bill to make it realistic for the benefit of the country and proper human values.
He stressed that if the bill is not approved by the president it will have a massive impact on NPP and Bawumia in this year’s general elections.
He was however critical with the Vice president and 2024 NPP presidential candidate for not openly and publicly declaring his stance against the practice of the LGBTQ+ in the country.
The clergy explained the concept of LGBTQ+ activities and its negative impact on society and the country at large emphasizing that it retards progress, development, and economic development of a nation.
He charged members of parliament to come out with robust punishment for LGBTQ practitioners to serve as a deterrent for others rather than offering them less than 5years jail terms which he said is below expectation.
