Residents of Kwatwoma get new chief.

It was a spectacular scene of an enviable Ghanaian culture, as residents, both young and old of Kwatwoma, a farming community in the Jaman North of the Bono Region poured onto the major streets of the town to jubilate over the installation of their new chief on March 10, 2024.

The newly installed chief was carried shoulder high by the youth through the principal streets of the town, amidst drumming, singing and firing musketry.

They expressed their joy over the installation of the new chief, Osabarima Asiedu Kotwi II with a high spirits and believes that they are going to experience development, peace, unity and stability which over the years were non existenc in the area.

Amidst merriment section of the residents took the opportunity to appeal to the government to speed up measures to ensure that the numerous challenges confronting the area are solved now that they have got a substantial chief.

The new chief Osabarima Asiedu Kotwi II succeeded his late uncle who died about 16 years ago.

Swearing the Oath of allegiance before the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Osabarima Asiedu Kotwi II, pledged his willingness to serve the (Seketia Stool ) with honesty, and for that matter his people.

According to Osabarima Asiedu Kotwi Il whilst he is installed as a chief, his major focus would be among others, to prioritize development projects and seek the welfare of the people alongside respect and obedience to all to ensure peaceful coexistence among the citizenry.

He mentioned particularly the network services challenges in the area, education, information technology, which according to him would be carried out to help the youth, particularly the school children to enhance their studies.

Education and health issues Nana said would be included in his topmost priorities to help the people.

He called for peace, unity and cooperation among his people and charged them to rally behind him to be able to bring development to the area, since in his view one head cannot make a council.
