Ashanti regional chief Imam advises the youth against violence attitudes.

At the closing ceremony of the Eudil-Fitr, the Ashanti regional chief Imam advised the youth to avoid violence attitudes that could lead them into trouble.

The chief Imam Haroum Mumin observed that Muslim religion stands for peace and unity and therefore those who follow the religion should be reflected by its principles.

Imam noted that the 30 days fasting of Muslims is a great task for the followers of the Holy Mohammed, but regretted that some Muslims youth take advantage to engage in over joyous attitudes that have the tendency to endanger the society after the break up of the fasting.

He mentioned unnecessary motor riding in cities, games among others that usually ended them up to become violent citizens to the disgrace of the religion.

Now that the Eudil- Fitr has ended we have to celebrate our joy in a moderate way to enhance the principles of the religion, chief Imam admonished.

Commenting on the upcoming general elections in December 7,2024 Chief Imam Mumin further strongly advised the youth to avoid violent attitudes since the Holy Quran speaks against violence motives.

He advised the youth to discard any politician who would approach them with financial enticement to create troubles on thier behalf during and after elections.

The chief Imam reiterated that election is not a matter of war nor violence, but rather it is a democratic practice which gives the citizens the power to speak thier minds through voting to choose a right leader to run the country’s affairs.

As servants of Allah, peace and unity must be our priority to ensure peaceful coexistence in the society, the chief Imam hinted.

He took the opportunity to advise parents to advise their children against violence motives as the elections get nearer.
