Operation Retrieve All Loot is here to stay -Ablakwa Affirms.

By King Amoah

Operation Retrieve All Loot, an initiative led by Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, is not a fleeting endeavor but a permanent commitment to protecting Ghana’s resources, according to its leader.

Speaking to the media, Ablakwa emphasized that the operation will continue to function in the best interest of the nation while the National Democratic Congress (NDC) remains in power.

Ablakwa underscored the importance of safeguarding Ghana’s assets, stating, “As a Republic, it is prudent that its properties and resources are protected at all times to benefit the next generation.” He expressed deep concern over the extent of alleged state looting by “selfish Ghanaians,” warning that if left unchecked, these actions could jeopardize the future of the country, particularly for future generations.

The North Tongu MP acknowledged the likelihood of criticism, predicting that those potentially implicated in corrupt practices would attempt to discredit the operation.

However, he firmly stated, “Nothing can frighten us to lay down our tools.” He addressed claims that the operation is a witch hunt, dismissing the notion that it is a temporary effort. “They think it’s a witch hunt exercise as a seven days wonder, but those who have such ideas should change their minds and know that it’s a genuine exercise targeting nobody except those who have stolen state funds and have used dubious ways to acquire government properties,” Ablakwa declared.

He clarified that the operation does not target innocent citizens, but rather focuses solely on those involved in corruption. “We have no bone of contention with any innocent Ghanaians, except the corrupt.

And as we have come to stay, we assure that we are coming to deliver for the best interest of Ghanaians.”

Operation Retrieve All Loot, it seems, is positioning itself as a dedicated watchdog, committed to ensuring accountability and the recovery of state assets. Ablakwa’s statements suggest a long-term strategy focused on combating corruption during the NDC’s tenure and securing a more prosperous future for Ghana.
