Following the recent exit of the former Trade Minister, Mr Allan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng from the Npp on the alleged charges of non transparent attitudes on some part of the party’s big guns, some sympathizers have registered their disappointment about the manner some party stalwarts reacts to Allan’s resignation.
Particularly in the Ashanti region, cross section of Npp supporters regards some reaction as loose talks or if not, an attempt to show that they are sycophants who hates to speak the truth.
According to Yaw Paul Boafo of Obuasi, events that have been taking place in the party in the recent times clearly shows that there is no transparency in the party.
Boafo was particularly referring to the flag bearer race of the Npp where there is no transparency, has forced Allan Cash to dump the Npp.
No one should blame Allan Cash for his decision, but if they have they should better point fingers on the Npp stalwarts, Boafo noted.
Commenting further Cecelia Marfo of the Bantama Constituency branch of the Npp noted that Mr Kyeremanteng has been a loyal founder of the Npp for several years and what can push him out from the party.
Marfo indicated that Mr Kyeremanteng made his grievances especially the alleged harassment out on his supporters known to the party, but what happened until he discarded the party.
Some of the contestants have also registered their sentiments on the way things are going on in the party with regards to the elections but what genuine steps have the party taken to ensure free and fair polls in November 4, ,2023, Cecelia asked.
Kingsford Premo of the Kwabre East Constituency was not happy about the events in the party, alleging that some party stalwarts wanted to impose one particular person on the Npp.
Truly we cannot break the ‘8’ with such a dirty politics in the 2024 elections, Premo insisted and added that the Npp is already divided but party leaders refuse to face the realiy on the grounds.
Emmanuel Hudson of the Offinso branch of the Npp allegedly linked financial greed and sycophancv to the challenges confronting the party and concluded that until outright lies and politics of hatred are stopped in the Npp camp, the Elephant’s quest to break the ‘8’ would be a mirage.
