Bono Region: Sunyani Tillers Associati inaugurated.
Sunyani Tillers Association has been inaugurated with a call on the government to invest much and make the vocational training attractive to the youth.
Speaking to a section of the media in an interview after the program, Mr Ali Mohammed, Chairman of the Association expressed regret that though vocational skills have the potential to create jobs, less attention is paid to encourage the youth to develop interest in them.
On this note, chairman Mohammed made a passionate appeal to the government to take a second look into the the challenges that have been confronting the vocational training skills implementation and find solutions to them.
According to the chairman education alone is not the only gate way to create opportunities for the youth, but vocational skills also play a vital role to raise the living standards of the citizenry.
Chairman Ali Mohammed took the opportunity to advise parents to encourage their children to opt for vocational training to secure themselves life time jobs.
In conclusion he said the Association has put in place systematic measures to support the members as part of their obligations to raise the image of the Association at the regional level.
