Don’t Allow Yourself To Be Swayed By Profane Songs That Could Ruin Your Life – Rev Simon Mensah To Ghanaians.
The resident pastor of the Faith Outreach Ministries located at Kumasi Anloga (Volley Park) in the Ashanti region, Rev Simon Abedu Mensah has observed that there is power behind music and therefore it is important for everyone to rely on good songs that have the background to impact positively on ones life.
Speaking to a section of the media on Sunday December 24, 2023 to mark the church’s Annual Music Festival dubbed, “Shabach” the man of God noted that many people take music for granted just because they are ignorant to know the power behind it.
We don’t listen to music just for listening sake or merry making, but rather we need to know the role which music plays in our lives, Rev Mensah noted.
He said as a religious organization whose leadership believes in songs due to its positive impact in the society, Faith Outreach Ministries has since ten years of its existence, been organizing annual music festivals to revive its members to fulfill the scriptures.
Citing how music is considered as a powerful medium which have positive impact in the society, Rev Simon Abedu Mensah quoted 1st Samuel 16-14 which spoke about the accounts of King Saul and how David used songs to revive the soul of the King at anytime King Saul was attacked by spiritual forces.
The clergy reiterated that it was only through from David where King Saul was always made to feel comfortable when he becomes down hearted when he was spiritually attacked by evil forces.
The resident pastor described Shabach as a way of speaking laud to God through music for ones breakthrough.
He asserted that good music has the tendency to heal, revive and comfort soul, whilst profane songs attract negativity, misery, troubles and all forms of antisocial vices like drug abuse, stealing, prostitution, corruptions and so forth.
Therefore as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, Rev Simon Abedu Mensah advised Ghanaians to embrace songs that attract positivity on humans lives, devoid of profane songs that would compel people to go to drinking spots, entertainment centers among others to drink and involve themselves into troubles.
