Faulty Truck Crushes Pregnant Women To Death At Dr.Mensa’s Lorry Terminal.
There is a bizarre story at Dr Mensa lorry terminal in Kumasi today, Thursday, May 4 2023 in the early hours of 9 am when a tipper truck with registration number GT74571 incidentally crushed to death, a pregnant woman who was selling cabbages at the station.
The body of the pregnant woman named Ekua Serwa together with her alleged 7 months old pregnancy was crushed and flattened beyond human comprehension.
At press time the body had been conveyed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital whilst police investigations have been launched into the case.
According to eyewitness accounts, the deceased person was among the traders who were doing business at Dr. Mensa today.
Sources said in the cause of their trading, the traders spotted a tipper truck that was allegedly faulty and was running at a top speed descending to the end gate of the station.
It was said that the situation prompted the traders to run for cover but Serwa was crushed by a cabbie who was also trying to save himself.
The taxi driver it was said sensing the danger of what was happening jumped out of his car, where luck run out of the cabbage seller.
The truck in a way crushed the deceased to an instant death whilst the taxi car was also damaged beyond repairs.
The two drivers are in police custody for probe at the time of filling the reports.
