Fraud alert!: Suspected Nigerian Fraudsters Operating False Courier Services Using DHL, UPS, Interpost, Customs To Dupe Public.
Ghana is a country known to be a peaceful zone where her citizens live in without fear and panic in the yester years.
However in the recent past the peaceful and security atmosphere in which Ghanaians enjoy are no more as a result of the activities of foreigners who have dominated all the corners of the country operating an alleged dubious activities to dis rupt the peace of the citizens.
Some of the obvious examples can be seen in the dailies and social media platforms about the cases of murder, cyber fraud, ritual murder, extortions by false pretenses among others.
Notably among the foreigners who allegedly specializes in these criminal activities in the country are Nigerians who operate internet banking applications on google among others but fail to make their offices or locations of operations visible to their customers or public.
These fraudsters have currently devised another strategies to dupe Ghanaians by using the social media particularly the Facebook accounts to archive their wicked aims.
They have under this alleged criminal businesses claiming to have been operating courier service companies by falsely using DHL, UPS, Interpost among others as their agencies and claiming to have links with the Ghana Custom who clears parcels and goods that come to their outfit
The fraudsters have allegedly faked various documents of the aforementioned courier service companies to convince people to part monies into their Momo accounts.
To archive such agendas they have been using their own criminal females as their representatives on Facebook displaying white female pictures on their status to portray that they are real whites.
Incidentally a person who takes such fake females as Facebook friend would be pampered with gifts until the so called white female Facebook friend would convinced you to accept special free gift like iPhones and laptops from her.
It would be here where the fraudsters in laison with their females on Facebook would apply their courier services to deliver a free gift parcel that would eventually turned out to be fake after making the victim to pay some custom duties covering the parcel before delivery.
A victim in this scandal narrated how some suspected Nigerian fraudsters made him to loose his GHC 3,800.00 to them.
The victim said his so-called white female Facebook friend Sandra Brooks of Los Angeles, California of telephone number +1(323)792-5924, assured to gift him iphones and laptops through Interpost from abroad.
He said after sending the parcel he was asked to contact the Ghana office of Interpost for formalities and take delivery of the parcel adding that after paying for the Custom charges , the fake official of the Interpost get him informed later that the Customs machine had detected some foreign currency that was secretly hid in the parcel which was against the laws of the country.
Meanwhile contact address of the Interpost driver, Patrick Ahiba Ochwuku driving a car with registration number WR-627-22 and handy phone number 0534385348: who was supposed to make the delivery was given.
The official then introduced the victim to the custom officer who in turn demanded GHC 5,000 or failure would result to arrest and possible prosecution which would leads to 2 years jail term or more.
Stressing that it was here when it became clear to the victim that he was scammed.
He said the fraudsters later told him that since he was unable to pay for the GHC5,000 they demanded the goods had been returned to the owner in Los Angeles California, who is that Sandra Brooks the victim’s Facebook friend who also treated the victim with contempt for trying to know what was happening with the delivery of the parcel 📦.
