Get Fire Certification Before You Construct And Use Your Building – Fire Officer To Public
The 2IC of the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality branch of the Ghana National Fire Service, David Azumah has disclosed that it is advisable for the public to first of all contact the officials of the Fire Service for inspection and fire certification before before they could put up an edifice for the purpose in which they target to use the project for.
According to him, hotels, lodges, rest houses, bars, night clubs, recreational centres, children’s homes, hospitals, clinics , laboratories, temples, libraries, FM studios, industries among other Companies need to acquire fire certificate before they can operate businesses.
Speaking to the correspondent in an interview, the Fire Officer said it is only the Fire Service which is the mandatory body to take defaulters to court for the law to take it’s course.
Contributing to the interview, SO II, Edmond Nii Nunoo and AGO, Sarah Koranteng respectively shared some safety tips with the public on the need about why a builder should armed himself with the relevant documents from the Fire Service before they could build for the sake of their own peace.
