Gloria Pointer Teen Movement Donates Educational Materials To Bonwire Anglican Basic School….. and dishes out Ghc250 to support nursing mother.

A Non Governmental Organization (NGO) dubbed, Gloria Pointer Teen Movement based at Bonwire in the Ashanti region has presented assorted educational materials to the Bonwire Anglican Basic School as part of meeting the Movement’s social responsibilities.

The items worth over Ghc1000 consist of school bags, pens, exercise books, tooth brushes among others.

 

Speaking to our correspondent after the presentation ceremony, the Chief Executive Officer of the of the Movement Mr Elvis Asante disclosed that his outfit is a Movement which aimed to assist school children and encourage them to learn hard to become responsible future leaders of the country.

According to him the movement also aimed at helping the poor, street children and the sick respectively.

On the current gesture, Elvis Asante observed that some of the students of the school would probably need help and support in their education, hence his outfit made the move to donate the items.

Mr Elvis Asante hinted that since the foundation of the NGO, many schools in and around Bonwire have been assisted and promised to go ahead to assist them when the need arises.

Following the presentation, the students expressed their appreciation for what the Gloria Pointer Teen Movement had done and sought the blessings of God on the management.

They also took the opportunity to appeal to other NGO’s well meaning citizens and philanthropists to emulate the shinning example of Mr Asante and come to their aid.

In another development, the Movement dished out a significant amount of Ghc250 to a needy nursing mother who made her plight known during Mr Elvis Asante’s visit to the school on donation mission.

Besides the amount, babies feed including lactogen were also presented to the lady who in turn, thanked Mr Elvis Asante for the gesture.
