Nana Kumah Siaw Wins Ejisu Municipal 2023 Best Farmer Of The Year
The Chief Executive Officer Of Kuma Farms & Training Institute located at Anwonmaso in the Ejisu Municipality of the Ashanti Region, Nana Martin Kwaku Kumah Siaw was adjudged as the 2023 Municipal Best Farmer of the year.
The Ejisu Municipal 39th National Farmers’ Day Anniversary was held at Adako-Jachie a suburb of the municipal, awarded 20 farmers in various categories as part of measures to say thank you to the gallant farmers in the area.
The overall Best Farmer received a brand new “aboboya” tricycle donated by the Member of Parliament for the Ejisu Constituency Lawyer John Kumah who also doubles as the Deputy Finance Minister.
Other excelled farmers also received various farming inputs to their credits.
In his speech, Nana Kwaku Siaw thanked the Municipal Assembly, the agric officers and all those who contributed significantly toward his victorious award.
Nana Kwaku Siaw took the opportunity to appeal to the government through the office of the Municipal Chief Executive, to further support farmers with storage and processing facilities to enhance productivity.
That notwithstanding, he also entreated the government to facilitate measures to help regulate the activities of galamsey which has been a cancer-spreading through our water bodies and farmlands confronting their work.
On his part, the chief of Adako-Jachie, Nana Osei Bosompem III, chairman for the occasion lauds the farmers for being the backbone of the country’s agriculture sector and encourages them to make good use of the logistics and let them (logistics) be a motivational tool for future modification.
