Mr Yaw Nsiah who doubles as an Assemblyman has strongly indicated that the next NDC government will actively seek accountability from current government appointees and officials of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
The NDC government will investigate and prosecute all corrupt officials from the current administration. If you are a thief or a criminal, the alternative should indeed be scary.
He said under the NDC government, no corrupt official in Akuffo Addo’s administration will go unpunished.
According to Mr Yaw Nsiah, the Assembly member for Antwirifo-Agyemankrom electoral area, former Health Minister Kwaku Agyeman-Manu must first be prosecuted over COVID-19 Sputnik V vaccine scandal. The controversy revolves around the purchase of 300,000 overpriced Sputnik V vaccines from a UAE middleman, the minister breached procurement laws, he indicated.
He is accused of paying $19 per dose, far higher than the original price of $10.
