Popular Kumasi Food Vendor Advises Youth To Develop Interest In Small Scale Businesses And Stop The Blamegame On The Gov’t.

The Managing Proprietor of the Believers Inn, a popular food and beverages operating center located at the Kumasi Central Police Station, Mr Nicolas Djonor has stressed the need for the youth to develop interest to invest in small scale businesses notably food vending to help them make ends meet.

He noted that society usually underrate those who engage in food and beverage businesses, unknown to them that the profession is lucrative and easy to operate.

Speaking to the correspondent in an interview, Mr Djonor also known as “NICO” expressed worry that many youth have been complaining about job challenges in the country just because they couldn’t be employed by the government.

He spoke against the notion that it is always the responsibilities of the government to provide jobs for the people, insisted that since God help those who helps themselves, the destiny of the youth are in their own hands to do something to improve their lives.

NICO reiterated that many youth especially, the boys have been wrongfully creating the notion that food vending business is created for women and as such feel shy to involve themselves in it.

He attributed the notion to laziness, in that even in the advanced countries, individuals and private sectors are considered as a source of job creation but not government.

I started this food vending business with a small amount of capital, but through humility and dedication to duty my business continue to grow and l don’t see the reason why many youth have been denouncing this simple but lucrative business and loitering around and pushing blame on the government about their job problems.

Mr Dionor on this note, urged the youth to avoid laziness and, stop blaming government for their lob challenges.

It is the time that the youth should be proactive to engage themselves in any jobs that can earn them income to see their way through, Nico admonished.

Adding that acts of laziness bleeds crime and crime leads one to jail, therefore as youth we need to resolve to work hard and contribute our quota towards national development.
