During a meeting of the Kumasi Traditional Council on Tuesday, April 21st, Asantehene expressed his deep disappointment about the persistent conflicts surrounding chieftaincy issues in the country.

. He noted that despite efforts towards peaceful resolutions, including judicial processes, the nation continue to witness a disturbing number of chieftaincy challenges.

A prime example cited by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II was the protracted chie.ftaincy dispute at Sampa in the Bono region.

However Asantehene revealed with palpable frustration that despite this legitimate installation, the recognized chief was being prevented from entering his palace .

.Instead of allowing the legitimate chief to occupy his stool,l the chief is faced with resistance, Asantehene told the media.

Expressing his absolute displeasure about the caseOtumfuo Osei Tutu II explicitly named political figures who he believes are actively exacerbating the Sampa chieftaincy dispute.

He rightly pointed fingers at the individuals such as the Brong Ahafo Regional Minister, the Brong Ahafo Regional Police Commander, and the Minister of Interior, among other political figures he accusing them of meddling in the chieftaincy affairs of the region.

Asantehene on this note issued a stark reminder to these politicians, emphasizing the transient nature of political power.

I strongly put on record for such politicians to note that political power is not a permanent position,” he declared adding that all those involved in the Sampa chieftaincy should take note.

You can go ahead and use your ministerial and political power to act on yourselves, but one day you will regret your life when it becomes obvious to you that political power has a limit, Otumfuo concluded.Asan
