Power, fame and wealth are the root cause of ritual murders – Clergy alleges.

Founder and leader of the Cornerstone Bible Church International located at Kumasi Ayigya in the Ashanti Region, His Eminence Apostle Godbless Boateng has allegedly attributed the ritual killings in the country to the cravance of power, fame and wealth which some Ghanaians.

Such Ghanaians he reiterated hardly see nothing wrong with their actions that could raise eyebrow problems in the society.

Speaking to journalists in Kumasi, Apostle Godbless Boateng expressed regret that due to financial greed and ones quest to gain power and fame, shedding of innocent blood to realize that agenda is seen as not a crime.

The clergy noted that what has just become as an order of the day for many Ghanaians today is only power, wealth and fame adding that besides these agenda they treat the development of the country with contempt.

Apostle Boateng was not happy that there is not a single day passes when Ghanaians never heard cases of ritual murders, spousal killings, suicides among other horrible news in the country.

And the situation creates the impression that the country has no authorized bodies to deal with such criminal activities in the society.

He said today a pastor wanted to become rich overnight and gain popularity, politicians always looks forward to remain in power whilst chiefs also anticipate to remain in their thrones forever.

Stressing that these tendencies have allegedly inspired many to indulge in beastly conduct to archieve their aims.

The clergy underscored that power and wealth have allegedly corrupted the country to the extent that lawlessness is currently ruling the nation.

To reverse the trend of lawlessness to help curb ritual murders, Apostle Godbless Boateng passionately appealed to the government to sufficiently resource the security agencies and the judiciary to enable them rise up to their mandates and apply the state laws as it to discourage the perpetrators in the ugly crimes that have been confronting Ghanaians.
