Top Bishop throws challenge to priests of Nogokpo’s shrine to go to court or rest their case against Bishop Agyin Asare.

Founder and leader of the New Jerusalem Chapel located at Sokoban-Ampayoo in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Bishop Dr John Yaw Adu has called on the priests of the Nogokpo shrine to withdraw their 14 days ultimatum which they have given to Bishop Agyin Asare to appear before them.

At a baptism ceremony at his church premises on Sunday June 11 2023, the man of God observed that he sees no wrong with the assertion which the prominent man of God made in the Volta region to incur the wrath of the priests of the Nogokpo shrine.

Bishop Agyin Asare founder and leader of the Perez Chapel International is reported to have been making statement that point to the fact that the township of Nogokpo is noted to be a demonic headquarters in the country, a subject matter that have provoked angers of the citizens.

But according to Bishop Adu he differs in opinion that Agyin Asare had offended the citizens of Nogokpo, stressing that Bishop Asare as a man of God was just commenting about the presence of the gods in the town.

This is a spiritual matter known by Bishop Agyin Asare and does not direct attack on any person, Bishop Adu pointed out.

I strongly suggests that if the Nogokpo residents believes that Agyin Asare has offended them they should drag him to court to defend himself instead of invitation and ultimatum threat.

There are two simple options in this case which is either court or resting the case for Agyin Asare to enjoy his peace.

Bishop Dr John Yaw Adu underscored that though he agrees with the congregation of the Perez Chapel International for backing their leader with 7 days prayers and fasting for God’s intervention in the case, fasting and prayers are not the answer to solve Nogokpo case.

This is a matter where Bishop Agyin Asare as a powerful man of God should decide and and avoid dictatorship from any source, the clergy hinted.

Citing the same challenge that confronted him at the Nkoranza palace some years back, he alleged that the palace authorities subjected him to several invitations and disturbances but at the end of the day they pronounced themselves guilty and asked him to carry out his church service in the town with peace and unity.

The man of God assured Bishop Agyin Asare to stand firm and continue the work of God and bear in mind that true followers of Christ always stands the risk of facing temptations just like what confronted Christ when he was on earth to discharge His duties to glorify God.
