Vote Dr Bawumia for total economic transformation – Npp Ashanti Director of Communication Urges Ghanaians.

By King Amoah, Kumasi.

In an exclusive telephone interview, Mr. Paul Kwabena Yandoh, the Ashanti Regional Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has urged Ghanaians to cast their votes for the Vice President in the upcoming elections.

Mr Paul Yandoh who also doubles as the Secretary of the Ashanti Npp Strategic Communication Committee highlighted that Dr. Bawumia, the party’s flagbearer, possesses the vision, qualities and experience necessary for the economic transformation that the country desperately needs.

He commended the peaceful democracy that Ghana enjoys, crediting it for producing two formidable candidates from the leading political parties: Dr. Bawumia of the NPP and John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

As the campaign season intensifies, Yandoh emphasized the importance of focusing on constructive dialogue rather than resorting to insults and violence. He expressed concern over certain political figures who have turned to campaigns filled with falsehoods and hostility, which he believes undermines the democratic fabric of the nation.

In calling for a change in the political discourse, Yandoh urged fellow politicians to abandon insults if they feel they’ve exhausted their campaign messages, stating that demeaning tactics do not align with the principles of democracy. He praised Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to tolerance and patience, stressing that his agenda centers around uplifting Ghana’s economic status through well-crafted policies, rather than engaging in divisive rhetoric.

Yandoh acknowledged the dire need for development in Ghana, asserting that it requires a leader who possesses substantial economic acumen to tackle corruption and stabilize the economy.

He positioned Dr. Bawumia as the ideal candidate who has the foresight to lead the nation towards a prosperous future. He pointed to Bawumia’s track record as Vice President, noting his introduction of 33 significant policies, particularly in digitization, which he claimed have been instrumental in guiding the nation back to a path of stability.

He emphasized that it is time for Ghanaians to reject past administrations that he labeled as incompetent, Yandoh pointed to the former President John Dramani Mahama’s history in office as inadequate.

In his view, Mahama’s return would lead to further exploitation of national resources instead of offering constructive solutions for the country.

Yandoh also addressed the critical role women traders play in Ghana’s economy, accounting for nearly 80% of the trade sector. He stated that Dr. Bawumia has plans to introduce policies enabling these traders to utilize their Ecowas identity cards to access bank loans an initiative aimed at empowering them to grow their businesses.

Furthermore, he assured the electorate that under Bawumia’s leadership, there would be a reinstatement of teacher and nurse training allowances that had been cancelled during Mahama’s tenure.

Culminating his call to action, Mr. Yandoh urged Ghanaians to rally around Dr. Bawumia come election day, reinforcing that a vote for him is a vote for progress, economic stability, and sustainable development.
