At a time when many citizens particularly those within the Christian community have remained hesitant to contribute financially to local development projects, an Elder of the Apostle Continuation Church at Wassa Japa has emerged as a beacon of hope and a testament to true faith.
Mr. Maxwell as he is popularly known is a dedicated member of the Apostle Continuation Church based in the Wassa Amanfi East Municipality of the Western Region has proved that supporting healthcare is not just a civic duty, but a divine responsibility’s.
For the past three years Mr. Maxwell has been instrumental in providing consistent financial support toward the rehabilitation of the Wassa Domeabra CHPS Compound.
Today, the facility stands as a symbol of progress and it is currently operating on a partial basis as the community works towards its full completion and commission are not completed.
A Call for Community Spirit::
During a recent visit to the site, the Ankobeahene of Wassa Domeabra, Nana Kusi Yeboah openly praised Elder Maxwell for his extraordinary commitment.
According to the traditional leader, the facility had been left in a state of near abandonment for years before the community collectively decided to undertake its rehabilitation.
Despite not being a resident of Wassa Domeabra Elder Maxwell stepped forward to provide the necessary resources to bring the near derelict building back to life.
As a concerned citizen, a church leader and a philanthropist Mr. Maxwell deserves to be honored for the selfless work he has done, Nana Kusi Yeboah stated.
He contended that Elder Maxwell has further pledged to continue the support until the hospital is fully completed and operational.
While the facility is now rendering life saving services to the community the Ankobeahene highlighted a critical challenge regarding human resources.
Currently, only two nurses are tasked to manage the workload of the entire facility a situation he described it as insufficient to serve the growing population effectively.
Nana Kusi Yeboah took the opportunity to make a passionate appeal to the Ministry of Health to urgently post additional midwives to the Wassa Domeabra CHPS Compound.
This he noted is important to ensure that the community receives the quality health care delivery they deserve.
As the Wassa Domeabra community looks forward to the full commissioning of the hospital, the selflessness of Elder Maxwell serves as a powerful reminder of how individual contributions can transform lives and bridge the gaps in national development.
