The Caucus o Matured Democrats in defence of constitutional democracy and accountable governance, sternly wants to caution president Akufo Addo without any reservation, and place on record that, CMD shall angrily lead the good people of Ghana to haul president nana addo to the International Criminal Court for crimes against innocent citizens, should a single Ghanaian be shot and killed in the upcoming December 7th 2024 general elections.
In the same vein, the Caucus sternly warns the Jean Mensah led electoral commission to as a matter of policy execute their mandate per constitutional provisions and laid down electoral laws of the country to avoid being hauled to ICC for arrogantly skewing our election procedures and processes to favour one political party, the npp against the other the NDC.
For example what she did in election 2020, given one election verdict more than 5 times, instead of given only one declaration could have spelled doom for the democracy and peace of Ghana.
Her singular shenanigan in election 2020 alone could have led to chaos or Civil unrest as other parts of the African Continent like, Liberia, Cote D’Ivoire, Sierra Leon among others faced. CMD warns the electoral commissioner that, president nana addo is not above the law not to talk about his family member like jean mensah the electoral commissioner.
The Caucus also wants to place on record that, majority of Ghanaians have indicated our dissatisfaction and sadness for the disastrous failure of the National Peace Council for side-stepping their mandate, keeping silent at the following;
1. The shooting and killing of 8 innocent citizens in election 2020, knowing very well that, it was in their mandate to follow up from the investigations agencies, seek arrest of culprits and brief Ghanaians the extent of investigations while seeking compensation for parents of victims.
2. Remaining silent when president nana addo publicly declared he won’t hand power over even when NDC wins but will only be glad to handover to npp now led by the google certified liar, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
3. When bryan acheampong also publicly continue to declare npp would never hand power over to NDC even when it is clear that, NDC has convincingly won. Bryan acheampong drew his inspiration and confidence from what president nana addo publicly declared.
4. They always seem comfortable and silent on anything Salaam Mustapha and Antwi Boasiako both of who are npp activists in the Ashanti region spew that has the propensity to destabilise our democracy and peace.
5. The justices of the Supreme Court of Ghana must be honest in their delivery of justice in the face of Ghanaians because some of their verdicts defy logic and common sense. Example of such verdictless delivery are;
a. The case of “Birth Certificate” not a requirement for proof of citizenship.
b. In the case of the state versus honourable James Gyakye Quayson, the NDC legitimate member of parliament for the good people of Assin North. CMD opines that the National Peace Council has failed and must therefore be SCRAPPED.
The Caucus also wants to serve a serious word of caution to the security agencies; for example the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), Police and National Security that, we the citizens of Ghana shall haul their institutional heads to the International Criminal Court for their excesses or lawlessness during the upcoming December 7th, 2024 general elections.
It must be noted on record that, all the cautions indicated above do not serve as threats but assurances because we Ghanaians believe in constitutional democracy and rule of law. It doesn’t also mean that, Ghanaians are cowards who are afraid of intimidation and or harassment. The only fact remains that, CMD and majority of Ghanaians need our country Ghana together in one piece but NEVER IN BITS AND PIECES.
All the above lawless acts are the sources of ANGER of many citizens now and CMD is of the view that those issues must be placed on record for the world to know the exact reality Ghanaians are going through under nana addo today.
By this release we are notifying the United Nations (UN), Africa Union (AU), the International Criminal Court of Justice (ICC) and the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) of the current UGLY DEVELOPMENT of our country Ghana under president nana addo’s government.
In conclusion CMD humbly urge all citizens to reject npp, reject Bawumia and massively come out in multitudes to vote against corruption; vote against arrogance and abuse of power which npp and Bawumia stand for.
Vote for JM and NDC to help reset the economy and the unfit for purpose state institutions;
Vote for JM and Jane for probity and accountability;
Vote for JM and Jane to help overhaul the judiciary;
Vote for JM and Jane to help overhaul the Ghana Armed Forces;
Vote for JM Jane to help overhaul the police administration;
Vote for JM and Jane to help overhaul the National security;
Vote for John Mahama (JM) and Jane to help overhaul the National Peace Council.
