In a powerful and soul stirring e sermon for the month of August, Senior Apostle Abraham Appiahkorang the Founder and General Overseer of the Victory Zion Ministry (My Father’s Temple sited in Accra) has issued a clarion call to believers worldwide to break free from the shackles of human dependency and embrace divine self reliance for their breakthrough.
Drawing deep inspiration from the Book of Joshua 1:2, the man of God reminded his followers of the transition period in Israel’s history:
“Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.”

The Trap of the Comfort Zone:
The core of the Apostle’s message for this month centers on the dangers of “Comfort Zone.” Using Joshua as an example, he explained that for years Joshua lived in the shadow of Moses.
He said because Moses was present Joshua remained in a state of comfort, relying on the leader’s vision, strength and relationship with God rather than tapping into his own potential.
The General Overseer stressed that because Joshua was living in his comfort zone until Moses. death, Joshua’s own conscious research into his destiny remained dormant.
The General Overseer challenged his listeners to perform a self audit:
To Pastors: Are you resting on your laurels or are you actively planning for the growth and sustainability of your ministry?
To the Job Seeker: Have you given up because your applications were rejected, or are you preparing for a new season of divine favor?
Human Reliance is a Fallacy:
Apostle Abraham Appiahkorang emphasized that true success cannot be archived on the shoulders of men.
Stressing that reliance on human existence or connections to make a breakthrough is a complete fallacy,
In the Apostle’s religious point of view the only true tool for human development and sustainable success is the Word of God.
He cautioned that the very comfort zone we rely on today can become the primary obstacle to our future success if it left unchecked.
Apostle Abraham Appiahkorang insisted that when we become too dependent on people we stop innovating, we stop praying and we stop to grow.
A Prophetic Decree for August:
During this e sermon the clergyman took a strong stand against the spiritual attacks that often discourage believers during times of transition.
He prophesied:
I declare that the spirit of discouragement, exhaustion and failure are broken over your life.
Do not allow your challenges to dictate your end. Let this month of August be a fruitful moment of transition.
Take bold and decisive steps to rise up from your distress and move towards your Jordan for God has already given you the land.
Final Encouragement:
As we journey through this month, Senior Apostle Abraham Appiahkorang encourages every believer not to wait for another “Moses” to solve their problems.
Like Joshua you have been equipped with the Word of God to cross over your own Jordan.
He advised believers to stop looking back at what they have lost or who they have relied on and start looking forward to the destiny that God has placed them in their hands.
Don’t let your comfort zone become your obstacle,” the powerful preacher concluded
