ATEBUBU SHS CRIES FOR INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOMENT TO IMPROVE TEACHING AND LEARNING.
The Headmaster of the Atebubu Senior High School in the Atebubu Amantin Municipality of the Bono East Region, Mr. James Arytey Kartey has made a passionate appeal to the government through the Ghana Education Service and the Ministry of Education, non-governmental organizations and other benevolence institutions to come to the aid of the school.
The call is to ensure that they should come out to provide them with school bus, infrastructure and other equipment to improve a harmonized teaching and learning environment for students and teachers.
Mr. Kartey in an interview explained that the school has over one thousand students but inadequate teaching and learning materials are not helping matters at the school.
According to him, inadequate teachers’ bungalows has compelled many teaching staff to stay in town which in his opinion, is causing the school dearly in terms of enforcing discipline.
The headmaster made the appeal at the SRC Week celebration of the school over the weekend.
A former Presiding Member of the Atebubu Amantin Municipal Assembly and a guest of honour to the programme, was not happy that many parents have excluded themselves from the celebration.
